Thank You Great Grandma!

My Grandma (Mya's Great Grandma) found an adorable Dora hat and mittens for Mya.   Mya IMMEDIATELY had to put them on:)

We've been spending a lot of time outside after work/daycare.  Spring is really slooooow in making its appearance this year, but if its above 30 degrees we're happy...well kind of:)!  The driveway is finally free of snow, so we've gotten out Mya's bikes and she rides them in circles!  Still gotta have the snow pants, coat, and winter boots though.  I CANNOT WAIT to pack those things away!!

Great Grandma also dropped off some Easter ornaments to decorate Mya's cute little pink Christmas tree!

I LOVE IT!  Thank you Great Grandma!  You make us smile:)

My Little Fashionista!

So Mya has suddenly taken a liking to all things fashion.  She likes to choose her clothes all of the sudden, her socks, her underwear, her hair clips.  Ugh.  I dreaded this day and it is here.  It is SO here.  She REFUSES to wear anything without an elastic waistband.  And when I say "refuse" I mean shrieking!!!! at me, "NO!  Must have a stretchy, mommy!  I can't breathe!!" each time I try to put a pair of jeans or any "real pants" on her.  She has a plethra of leggings.  Striped leggings, polka dot leggings, solid leggings...ugh.  Again, I say, UGH.  Well, atleast she looks sooo darn cute in leggings;)  Anyway, I divulge, I wanted to share with you the dress Mya picked out for Easter..... and the one I actually bought (gasp!)....
I went to Target.com and pulled up all the Easter dresses the other night and handed the iPad to Mya and asked her which one she liked.  She purused them with some careful consideration and finally pointed to a yellow, polka dot poof of a dress.  I laughed and thought, "she'll forget she even picked that one."  A couple days later I repeated the same thing (handed her the iPad) and told her to pick a dress.  Lo and behold, she pointed at the yellow mass of satin and said, "Mommy, I told you, THIS one!"
So, I thought, if that's the dress she wants, that's the one I'll get.  Fine.  It will make her so happy.  So, off to Fargo I went.  I found this yellow dress....  biggest size they had it in... 24 months!  Eeek.... (Mya's in a 5T).  So, I opted for a different one and am HOPING Mya will understand...

Here's Mya's very enthusiastic selection:)  Look at all that yellow lovliness!

Here's the one Mommy picked

Phew!  I usually hate Target for this, but today I thank you Target for your limited selection:)

Aleshia's Wedding

Oops, I'm a little behind in my posts again:)  Aleshia (my sister-in-law) and Steve got married a few weeks ago, but I still wanted to share some of the photos with you.  Some of these I copied from her photographer's website (Kim Kasl Photography).  It was one of the most fun weddings I have ever been in!  They had a hummer limo take the wedding party from the ceremony to the reception, a photo booth at the dance, and a candy bar!  Really cool.  Only down side... Mya got sick while we were taking photos before the wedding and my sister had to take her home:(  She missed everything!  Poor little peanut!  She didn't seem to mind, though.  She had a great time at home with her auntie......after she puked on her.  Sorry about that Auntie!

Introducing the new Mr. and Mrs. Steve Breuer!

Aleshia is always flashing a peace sign! It's her signature "thing".  So, we thought it would be cute if we all did that for a photo....  some of the others must not have gotten the memo!  I'm pretty into it, however...

So cute!

Mya was in her dress for such a short time at the church before getting sick and leaving that I never actually got a picture of her in it that day:(  This is a pic of her trying it on a few weeks earlier.

Randy with his dad, Merrill, and Aleshia's oldest daughter (our neice), Jude.

The whole HUGE wedding party:)

I curled Mya's hair for the first time ever.  Pretty stinkin' cute.

I sometimes take photos of myself to see how I look.  I know, it's kind of weird.  I had just finished my own hair and wanted to see how it would photograph!  I always tilt my head down so you can't see my double chin! Ha!

Disney Princess on Ice

Ya Ya got us tickets to Disney Princess on Ice at the Target Center in Minneapolis this weekend!  Disney Princesses happen to be Mya's current obsession, so the timing was perfect!

Mya and Ya Ya coloring at Ya Ya's house before we head into the city for the big show!  I got Mya a princess shirt to wear and she would not stand still for me to get a picture of her in it.  So, the infamous running shot is the best I could do:)
The Minneapolis skyline....
At the Target Center getting ready to head in to the show:)

Daddy bought Mya a snow cone in a Flounder cup.  They were $15!!!!
Ya Ya bought Mya this princess light up thing... that was $20!!!  It's crazy what they can sell stuff for at these things.  Oh, and our box of popcorn was $7!  Isn't that crazy!?

We got stuck in traffic on the way home...  traffic was actually backed up all the way to the parking garage.  Mya took this shot of us from her carseat:)
Mya so proud of her Flounder cup!
