You can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl

When I started dating Randy (a long time ago:), he introduced me to the country.  To the peace, the quiet, and the beauty of the country.  We spent a lot of time on his parent's farm and his grandparent's farm, and later our own place in the tiny town of  Kent (right on the edge of the town with views of fields for miles), and then our farm north of Abercrombie.  We've since moved into "town", or our little neighborhood, with houses on all sides of us.  Ever since we moved here I just can't get the country, and how much I miss it, out of my mind.  This summer Mya and I have made a habit of going with Randy when he runs his dogs out in the fields around our development.  It is absolutely beautiful and I feel completely at home out there.  I love it.  Man, do I love it.

Easter 2013

Mya's Easter Dress.  This is actually a dress that has been in her closet for two years.  She refused to wear it up until now;)  Mya picked out the new shoes.  Her first pair of wedges!

Getting ready for the Easter Egg Hunt.  I asked them to pose!

Hunting for eggs in our basement.  We usually do it in the back yard, but since we got a million feet of snow this year that wasn't happening:(

We did a Mexican themed Easter meal this year.  We had nachos, enchiladas, taco in a bag, and chicken fajitas.  The only thing we forgot were the margaritas!  What were we thinking!?

Easter Egg Dying!

Randy started dying Easter Eggs at his Grandpa and Grandma's when he and his brothers and sister and cousins were really little.  They did it every year before Easter.  We've continued the tradition with our kids and now Grandpa comes to one of our houses to enjoy the tradition every year with us.

Our Trip To Mexico!

It took years of convincing, but I finally got Randy to take me to the beach!:)  We went to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for our 10 year anniversary and it was amazing.  It was just the two of us.  We have been together for 20 years and have never taken a vacation alone.  Even our honeymoon was with another couple!  We told our travel agent we just wanted a beautiful beach, an all-inclusive resort, and a really laid back atmosphere.  Puerto Vallarta was PERFECT.  There was mountains all around us, the beach was unbelievable, and every day we were there we would look at each other and say, "Can you believe we are HERE!"  Our daily schedule consisted of:  breakfast, a walk on the beach, laying out on the beach, drinks at the pool bar, floating in the pool, lunch, nap, and supper.  LOVED it:)

This is the huge pool bar...

Where our hotel was it was still relatively underdeveloped.  Behind the hotel was just open country.  It felt very rural.

 Seriously!

Lots of parasailers on the beach every day.

The little towel creatures we'd find in our room after it had been cleaned.

We took a boat to a private island with no electricity...

We had dinner at a table right on the beach!

After dinner we walked into the jungle of this island to a earthen theater for an amazing show.

My outfit for the night.  I liked it so thought I'd take a picture of myself in it:)

:(  I miss it!
