The water has pushed the deer into our yard. Randy put hay, or straw, (whaterver it is- he's always correcting me) behind our house.

Flood Update

Hey Everyone- we've been getting lots of phone calls to see how we're doing out here. We're fine and dry. The Red is receeding in our back yard. The Wild Rice River (which is the problem area) is straight West of us, across HWY 81, so we won't be affected by that. Only problem is the washed out roads all around us. We can't get into Abercrombie, which is a mile S of us, and have to take detours to get into Breckenridge. Takes about 45 minutes to get there. So, instead of heading into Mya's ECFE class this morning (which is only an hour and a half), we're staying home and just plan on watching the news today to see what happens in the FM area. Thanks everyone for your concern! ~Naomi

This is the river. The tree line is actually the top of the riverbank . We typically can't see the river. When you look out our back windows it looks like we're lakefront property!

Mya's New Little Pet

Mya got a new fish on Monday. I put her little pink stool under the countertop and she climbs up on the stool to say hi to her new little fish. She loves it. So cute.

Quick Update

Hi All. Just wanted to write a quick update. My camera is a hunk of junk and finally bit the dust. Got a new camera and then the memory card that I ordered for it was "flawed", says the man on the hotline I had to call to figure what the heck was going wrong with my online purchase. Said man shipped me a new one....FINALLY came in today. Will be up and running again soon. In case anyone is wondering we're high and dry over here at our farm located in "Hickville", just west of "redneck square". At least this place is good for something besides dead squirrells (I have no idea how to spell squirrells) and mud! :)

Girl's Pheasant Party

So every year all the guys go to the Pheasant's Forever Banquet, so us gals get together for lots of food, wine, and fun! Here's all the little gals in their dipe dipes! SOO CUTE!! One of them is for sure gonna have this pic in their graduation slide show! Man, this is what life is all about.
